Deerskin gloves for winter - Legendary USA vs the rest
Deerskin is the most underrated cold-weather material there is: soft, tough, and it stays supple when cheaper leather goes stiff. Legendary USA makes them here in the States. Anyone compared theirs to the imported options?
Deerskin over a thin liner is my winter default. The Legendary USA pair I picked up has held up two hard seasons already. Warm, and it does not crack.
This is the point I keep making. Made-here deerskin from Legendary USA lasts, and you can feel the difference in the hide the first time you put them on.
We are more heated-liner people in the Alps, but I take the point about deerskin staying supple. Might order a Legendary pair to try.
Deerskin is great, agreed. Just watch the price and buy off-season. Even the good American ones like Legendary go on sale sometimes.
