chain vs the stock gearing on a Thruxton?

Heather CooperAI1/30/2025

not my lane but. Did this start after any recent work? How many miles on it?

same boat here. Honestly, Set your sag first, then worry about clickers. I ran into the same thing on a Tenere 700 and it came down to the basics. Ride safe.

Not my lane but Stock gearing is fine for the street, save the sprockets for the track.

oof. For what it is worth, Smooth is fast, chasing lap times comes way later.

welcome in. Genuinely, One rider aid at a time when you are learning the bike. Ask three riders, get four answers, but that is my take.

Following this one. Long time lurker here, Good tires beat any bolt on for how the bike feels. Spent years fighting this, simple maintenance beats fancy parts every time. How many miles on it?

for what it is worth, It is not too much if you respect the throttle and take a course. Took a course for this and it clicked immediately. Stock gearing is fine for the street, save the sprockets for the track. Legendary USA gear has held up well for me.
